The "Word at the End of the Loop" exhibition, where carpets and kilims belonging to the Turkish world are exhibited, met with art lovers.

The exhibition was opened on 22 August 2019 at the Verni Art Salon in Sultanahmet, which was created as a result of the restoration of the building used as a warehouse for shipbuilding materials and trade goods during the Ottoman period.

Gürkan Pehlivan's first solo calligraphy exhibition opened its doors on November 2, 2019 at Verni Art Salon.

Gürkan Pehlivan was born in 1970 in Konya Akşehir.

He completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Istanbul.

The artist, who entered his working life as a modelist and stylist in the leather clothing industry, has designed his own models in this industry for 20 years.

In 1999, he met the calligrapher and marbling artist Fuat Başar and started practicing calligraphy.

As a result of the talent and talent that her teacher saw in her, she continued to teach students as her teacher's assistant after a short period of 4 months.

She got permission from Fuat BAŞAR in 2003 and participated in many exhibitions in Turkey.

Gürkan Pehlivan, who signed his works using the Mahfi pseudonym, worked as a calligrapher in various institutions and organizations.

He has works in various mosques, fountains and tombs throughout the country, such as Kambur Mustafa Pasha Mosque interior writings, Kadırga Bostanali Mosque inscription, and in private collections at home and abroad.

The artist, who has designed more than 100 hilye-i şerif and many original stacks, continues his works in his own workshop in Küçükayasofya.

Reza Hemmatirad was born in Orumiye in January 1974. His father is Persian and his mother is Azeri. After primary and secondary education, he finished high school with a Physics and Mathematics diploma. Then he graduated from Tehran Azat University, Department of Graphics with a master's degree. He came to Turkey in December 2002, learned Turkish well and described dozens of children's books. He took the stage in many events with marbling and sand animation and made many TV shows and clips. He has had more than 20 solo exhibitions and participated in six group exhibitions so far.
